A small gesture
Nina did not seem to be inclined to go so far. She reached into her pink purse, which was adorned with a lovely floral pattern. Naomi could not help but smile when she saw Nina take out her lunch money, neatly folded.
Nina turned thoughtfully to her mother, and said that she did not need lunch today, if someone else was in more dire need of money. Her caring nature was evident in this display of compassion and selflessness.
Naomi is proud
Noami’s daughter was a generous and kindhearted soul, who would sacrifice her lunch to help others. Noami’s daughter would have liked to eat lunch at school but she could not stop her from giving her the money. She didn’t do it today because she understood the importance of nurturing her compassionate daughter.
Naomi knew that it was not a good idea to do this on a regular basis, as it might affect her daughter. She was unaware, however, that this would soon no longer be an issue for her mother.
