Little Nina is concerned
Naomi, her mother has faithfully walked Naomi to school each morning since the beginning of her schooling. She couldn’t but notice people huddled on the cold concrete of the sidewalks as they walked along busy streets.
She was deeply concerned and asked her mother about the unfortunate situation. She was confused and wondered why these people had to sleep outdoors, exposed to the weather, as if on an impromptu camp trip
What would Naomi say?
Noami struggled with the words she should say to her daughter. She knew the gravity of the situation, and that Nina, who was compassionate and empathic, deserved the truth. Noami was frightened by the idea of telling Nina the truth, because she knew the pain it would cause her daughter.
Noami, however, knew that the consequences of lying to Nina would catch up with her eventually, and could cause irreparable damage to their relationship.
