Last month I heard an interesting reason for warming up your toothbrush. I was initially confused by his reasoning, but I am now convinced. Hold your lighter against the plastic portion of your toothbrush.
This ingenious device works by heating the plastic until it bends.
First, let me tell you about the things you need to pay attention to. The material of the toothbrush must be plastic. Material must be flexible without burning. Today, many toothbrushes are made from wood. Unfortunately, this method will not work on wooden toothbrushes.
Do you have your toothbrush with you? We can now begin. Keep the fire a safe distance from the brush, so that it will heat up but not burn.
Once you see that bubbles are forming, it’s time to move onto the next step.
Let the brush cool down for a few minutes. You don’t wish to burn your hands, as this will cause them to be irritated. A slight cooling will also allow the plastic to re-harden. It is easier to bend your toothbrush at a sharp angle.
Twist the brush. One hand should be on the handle and the other on the heated portion. Apply even pressure to the brush so that it forms a perfect 90-degree angle.
Why are we doing this? On the next page, I’ll explain!
