If you are planning a trip, make sure that you can do laundry. This could mean booking a room with a washing machine, or finding out where the closest laundromats are. The former is cheaper.
While doing laundry while on vacation may not be appealing, it can help you reduce the weight of your luggage. You can use your clothes again if you do laundry. This allows you to pack less.
