6. Swelling
Swellingis a common sign of a labrum torn. Blood will rush to the affected area due to the damage. Blood will begin to pool around the affected area to prevent infection. It also begins to rebuild tissue by using amino acids and other nutrients.
Swelling in the shoulder is not a bad thing. It’s a natural part of healing. The swelling may cause discomfort, particularly if it begins to exert pressure on the surrounding tissue. It may be difficult to move your spine or joints normally due to the swelling.
You can treat swelling by using an ice pack for 20 minutes and then 20 minutes. This will help reduce swelling and pain associated with a torn labrum.
