5. Instability
Another sign of a labrum tear is feeling like your shoulder is slipping out of the socket. The labrum is a binder between the bones of your shoulder. When you tear your labrum, it is not able to hold the bones in place, which is why you may feel like your shoulder is going to slide out of its socket.
If you experience this sensation, the best thing that you can do is to stabilize your shoulder. Lay your arm on a soft pillow and keep it in place. You should then call an ambulance to come and get you.
The paramedics will be able to immobilize your shoulder in a way that it will not slide out of the socket while you are in a vehicle. Driving yourself is not a good idea as you will not be able to safely navigate the roads when only one of your arms is working properly.
