2. Locks
You may feel your shoulder locking into place along with the grinding sensation. The labrum’s function is to hold the bone in their correct place. The labrum acts as a buffer, allowing the humerus to move past the scapula.
If you have a labrum torn, your bones will be in direct contact and could become stuck. You may feel as if your bones are stuck together. You should not try to force your shoulder into motion if this occurs. This can lead to further damage.
You should go to the emergency department as soon as possible so that your doctor can examine your injury. The shoulder will be immobilized to prevent further damage.
