11. Fever and nausea
In some cases the labrum can become infected. A person will experience nausea, vomiting, and a temperature. If you have shoulder pain, and are experiencing any of these other symptoms and run a fever or just don’t feel well, seek immediate medical attention.
Fever is an indication of infection. A medical professional must investigate the cause to ensure that the right treatment is given. Rest, ice and possible physical therapy will be required to treat the labrum tear.
The infection that causes the fever and symptoms may also need to be treated, perhaps with antibiotics. In order to heal correctly, it is essential to receive the care you need to address this problem. If left untreated, the injury can cause further damage and prolong the recovery process.
