The 10 Best Sources of Protein

4. Oats

Most people don’t realize that grains can be an excellent source of protein. Most grains are high carbohydrate and don’t provide much protein. Oats, however, are an exception as they are among the healthiest and best grains. Oats not contain only a lot of protein but also thiamin and magnesium.

Oats are also high in fiber, which helps with digestion. Half a cup uncooked oats contains approximately 13 grams of protein, and 300 calories. About 15 percent of oats’ calories come from protein. Start your day by eating a bowl full of oats in the morning.
