Ten Homemade Methods for Effective Mold Removal

5. Baking Soda

Baking Soda can be used to clean just about anything. No surprise, baking soda is listed as a way to naturally get rid of mould in your home. Mix baking soda with water to make a paste. The paste can be sprayed on the moldy surfaces or spread with a brush. Use gloves or a toothbrush to apply the paste on the moldy surface. Add vinegar to the baking solution as another option.

The solution will fizz. Once the fizz is gone, you can apply the same solution to the moldy areas. Let the solution sit for about an hour and then scrub with a brush. Use a damp cloth to wipe away any residue. Baking soda has a mild disinfectant, which is why it is an effective solution to remove mold.
