11. Dizziness
It’s common to feel dizzy when you’re not sleeping well. Narcolepsy can make it difficult to sleep or develop a regular sleeping pattern. Sleeping well one night may be followed by a lack of sleep the next.
It is possible to fall asleep in the middle or at the end of the day, when you should be awake. You can also sleep for short periods. You may wake up feeling dizzy or seeing things fuzzy. It may go away within minutes or last all day. Some people also feel dizzy when they are falling asleep.
Dizziness can interfere with daily activities and make it hard to function. Dizziness is a sign that many things are going on, including sinus infections, colds, flu, or even eye problems. Dizzinessalone does not lead to a diagnosis of narcolepsy.
