11. Treatment of PTSD
People who have experienced emotional trauma develop a condition called post-traumatic disorder (PTSD). Veterans who have experienced the horrors and trauma of war are more likely to suffer from PTSD. The effects of PTSD can be devastating, causing people to become a shell version of themselves. Antipsychotic medication and regular therapy sessions are required to treat the condition.
According to clinical evidence, “magic mushroom” can help therapists in alternative healing techniques for people with PTSD. Magic mushrooms are hallucinogenic substances called “psilocybin,” which is the active ingredient in creating psychedelic experiences.
Evidence suggests that psilocybin treatment can help individuals overcome the depression and anxiety related to PTSD. These studies were conducted in controlled environments under the supervision of a clinical psychology. Self-medicating with psilocybin may not be the best idea.
