12. Lack of Hydration
When you are feeling tired, it is important to remember that this is a very normal occurrence. When you are feeling well, you should drink eight glasses of water (or some other liquid such as organic juice) to reach your body’s recommended intake.
When you are ill with viral meningitis the amount of liquid you need to drink is smaller. Continue to drink more fluids when you’re sick, particularly if you lose liquids through sweating or regurgitating. Lack of hydration has its own set of symptoms, such as migraines and mental confusion.
Dehydration can also be a serious condition that requires immediate treatment. Rehydrating with electrolyte and supplement-rich liquids is usually enough. However, the most extreme cases may require IV liquids.
