Taken to the station
Mark was brought to the police station and found himself in a room with a detective sitting across from him. The gruff officer hammered Mark on where Mark got such an odd object and why Mark had hidden it there.
Mark told him that the previous owner was not the person who owned the house, but the detective dismissed it. Mark felt hopeless…
Interrogated
Mark began to feel the pressure of the situation as the harsh light of his interrogation room pressed down on him. Mark felt like a fish in water, and he realized if he did not get professional help, his efforts to prove his innocence were doomed to failure.
He knew he needed help but he didn’t know he was going to get more than he bargained.
Mark’s family helps out
Mark decided to stop his own defense. He would not speak again until he was accompanied by a lawyer to help him navigate this legal minefield. Although his interrogation was stopped at his request his family did not sit still and took matters into their hands.
