6. Fever
Feveris the body’s response to infection. The body raises the temperature to “drive out” infection-causing bacteria.
Fever isn’t bad in and of itself. It helps the body get rid unwanted illnesses. Unchecked fever can become dangerous. A high fever can cause dehydration. This can be dangerous, and can also lead to a variety of secondary symptoms.
You can manage your fever or that of your child by opening a window or taking a cool shower. Monitor the temperature of your child. Anything above 38C should be taken seriously and a doctor should be consulted.
It is important to drink plenty of water. This will rehydrate your body and help prevent dehydration symptoms such as headaches and poor digestion.
