2. Blisters
The red sores quickly turn into blisters. They are filled with liquid and eventually will ooze out, burst and crust. It is important that you encourage your children to not scratch the affected area. You can also explain to them why they shouldn’t.
If the blisters break, fluid can leak out. This will allow infection to spread. If the fluid touches a surface it is important to clean the surface thoroughly. Otherwise, other people may be infected.
These blisters are most commonly found around the eyes, mouth and feet. These blisters can also be found on the skin folds.
