4. Contagion
The means by which you contracted hepatitis A may not be a symptom, but it can still be used to diagnose the condition. You can narrow down the causes of your symptoms by thinking about how you were exposed and whether or not you may have contracted it.
Hepatitis A is spread through stool, sexual contact, and contaminated food. While it may seem unlikely that you would ever be exposed to stool, many of us do. Many studies have shown that tap water may contain traces of the virus. This is due to how the sewage system functions.
It is also possible that they contracted hepatitis A when traveling. To demonstrate how simple it is, take a hair and rub it against some feces. Then, dip it in the water that you’re about to drink. Imagine that same hair as a fly. This is very possible if the sanitation in your area is not good.
