7. Fortified Foods
Fortified foods have been fortified with specific minerals and vitamins. This is done to ensure that our bodies get all the nutrients they need.
Iron-fortified cereals are a common example. It is intended to give children extra energy by adding another food source to their diet. It’s good for the children but not for hemochromatosis patients! Check the packaging of your favorite sweets – they are often fortified this way or in other ways.
