10. Ferrum Metallicum
Ferrum metallicum, a homeopathic remedy, is used by some to treat hemochromatosis.
Try all other options before you decide to use this one. Homeopathic remedies are not backed by science, so there is no reason to believe that they work.
Homeopathic medicine is based on the idea that by consuming substances which cause the same symptoms as you are trying to fight, the body will be able to increase its efforts to combat those symptoms. This is an ‘invented hypothesis’ and not based upon any evidence.
Homeopathic remedies contain active ingredients that are so diluted, they leave no trace of the original ingredient in the finished product. Homeopaths claim that the ingredient’s ‘lifeforce” has been transferred into the water, but there is no evidence for this.
