Paris Catacombs is a labyrinth in the middle of France. The Catacombs was built because the city wanted a better place to store its dead. Paris decided to build five-story tunnels underground into which it emptied the bodies starting in late 1700s.
This discovery is even more eerie because of the background. A fully-equipped cinema was discovered by Parisian Police in August 2004 during a training session. The amphitheater was formed by cutting terraces into the rock. There, projection equipment, a cinema screen and various noir and thriller films were discovered. The films weren’t offensive or banned, but it seemed like someone wanted to create their own creepy private theater.

This discovery is so strange that it seems like the start of a horror film. Pat and Diane Farla, from Shropshire in England, were hosting a Good-Friday party when someone decided to look behind their six-foot-long rectangular wall plate. They hadn’t even looked behind the plate in the three years that they owned the house.
They discovered that after pulling away the plate, a small chapel was hidden underground. The underground chapel had pews, a cross and was shaped like a cellar. It confirmed that it was a church. Authorities believe this underground church was used by congregations who fled religious persecution in England during one of its many religious wars.
