The Namibian desert is likely the last place you would think to look for a ship. The remains of the Bom Jesus were found in the Namibian Desert. The Portuguese ship sank five hundred years ago off the coast Namibia. The Bom Jesus reemerged as the waters of the coast receded.
It was loaded with gold and copper ingots when it sank during a violent storm. The Namibian government sent out a team of dignitaries to recover the wreckage after diamond miners found the ship. The Bom Jesus was found to have two- thousand pure gold coins, and tens thousands of pounds in copper ingots.
8. Find of Soviet-built T34/76A in Lake Kurtna Matasjarv

Kasper, an Estonian young man, discovered the secrets of a fascinating piece of history hidden in the lake Kurtna Matasjarv. It had been there for decades before Kasper, who was a teenager at the time, unearthed it in 2000. Kasper’s parents were called after he discovered a strange mark and rope nearby. The whole town became involved in the excavation.
The Soviet-built T34/76A was at the end of the rope, emerging from the depths. It stood as a haunting memory of the past. Kasper’s discovery happened by chance. It is not known why the tank was located or how it ended up there.
