Nick Drummond, Patrick Bakker and their 100-year old home discovered something strange. The couple discovered 66 bottles from the Prohibition era hidden in the walls of their centurion home. They were told their house had been built by a notorious bootlegger but dismissed it as just a local legend.
They didn’t find out about the bottles until 2020, when they were renovating their home. Nick and Patrick discovered the hidden bottles in hatches on the walls and floors. According to Blacktail NYC, the value of whiskey from the Prohibition Era ranges between $1,000 and $1,500 per bottle. It appears the Ames’ were sitting on a goldmine.
