When it comes to the creatures that lurk in their depths, lakes can be as frightening as oceans. Divers discovered the remains in Lake Labynkyr, Siberia in Russia of an unknown “Sea Devil”. Locals had first claimed that a devil inhabited the lake during the 1800s, and in 2013, these claims were confirmed.
The jaw and skeleton of the massive animal were discovered at the bottom, thousands of feet beneath the surface of the ice-cold water. Divers scanned the “Sea Devil” but the scan was lacking in detail. It wasn’t known if the sea devil was an amphibian, reptile or giant fish.
