Cats have fascinated people for millennia. Archaeologists in Peru were remodeling a lookout at the Nazca Lines UNESCO site. They found a faded cat figure during this remodeling process. The geoglyph was initially difficult to spot because it was located on a steep hill and had been eroded.
The Ministry of Culture in Peru said they thought the cat outline to be at least 2,000-years old. It was created probably during the Late Paracas Period, based on the style of the artwork. The cat outline is 121 feet in length, with lines between 12 and 16 inch wide.
