37. A man discovers a vast tunnel system filled with bats in his home
Southern Italy Location
Year Found: 202020
Est. Unknown Value
Reddit was the first place a homeowner from Southern Italy revealed that his home had a Bat Cave. In 2020, he bought the six-bedroom, two-bathroom house. The tunnels on the deed were listed under “storage” but he knew they existed.
The purchaser was surprised at the depth of the tunnels when he had the opportunity to explore them. The three-level subterranean network covered thousands of square feet. Many of the underground caverns had bats infesting them, so it was not safe to even explore this amazing, creepy discovery.

What a wonderful gift! David Whitcomb purchased a building in Geneva New York, in December 2020. He planned to use the building solely as an office. He and his friend didn’t discover the hidden antique treasures in the attic until they began to explore their new purchase.
As the attic had not been occupied for decades, it was not listed in the paperwork. It turned out that the attic was once the workspace of James Hale – a photographer with a rich history. Whitcomb discovered original photos of Susan B. Anthony and other historical figures in the workspace.
