7. Sleeping difficulties
It can be difficult to fall asleep when you have an irritating cough. It is especially noticeable in young children and children with spasmodic cough, who are often awakened in the middle night.
It is important to note that the inability to sleep can cause a variety of unwanted symptoms. You may experience extreme fatigue, lethargy and a bad mood throughout the day. It can also cause headaches and muscle weakness.
