Croup: 14 signs and symptoms
13. Bacterial Croup
The croup caused by bacteria is very similar to the croup that is normally seen, but it is not a virus . It is therefore treated with antibiotics.
Other symptoms of bacterial croup include nasal congestion, sinusitis, fever, headache and more. Always consult a doctor for the correct treatment.
However, bacterial croup is much more rare than viral croup. It can be caused by one of two main bacteria tracheitis: laryngotracheobronchitis, or laryngeal diphtheria.
