11. It’s a good source of protein, but not an overload
Celery is an excellent source of protein. Protein is one the most important building blocks for muscle and bones. If you want to increase your intake of either, or to recover from injuries that have damaged them, your doctor may tell you to start by increasing your protein consumption.
Ensure that you do not consume too much protein. You can develop kidney problems if you over-supply your body with protein.
Celery has just the right amount of protein for your body to heal, but not too much. Speak to your doctor if you don’t see the results you expected.
