9. Fever
The body uses a fever to protect itself from infections and illness. A fever is a sign your body is trying get rid of something. You may feel worse when you have a fever.
A fever can be caused by stress. It is important to control your fever using over-the-counter medications, cool baths and other methods.
When you break a rib, your body will often develop a high fever to help it cope with the trauma. It could be an indication of a serious illness if you can’t get your fever down. To determine the cause of your fever, you will need to consult with your doctor.
