14. Fainting
It can be traumatic to break a rib. It can have many effects that go beyond pain. The pain can be very severe when a rib is recently broken.

After a major accident, many people lose consciousness or faint. If you faint in a dangerous area of an accident, it can be problematic. If a person is experiencing symptoms of broken bones or ribs, they should call an ambulance immediately.
