5. Multiple Sexual Partners
The number of sexual partners you have can increase your risk for developing infections like bacterial vaginosis, urinary tract infection, yeast infections and urinary track infections.
Although bacterial vaginitis is not considered a sexually transmissible infection, having sex with more than one partner – especially a woman with bacterial vaginitis – can increase your risk.
Douching and over-cleaning can sometimes be linked to frequent sexual activity and multiple sexual partners. This could also cause bacterial vaginosis.
You should stop having sexual relations until the condition has been treated. It can reduce your risk of contracting BV and also the spread of it via sexual contact.
