14. Sex with a Woman Affected by HIV/AIDS
Men are sometimes considered carriers of BV. They can spread the infection in a sexual situation where there is no protection, but they don’t show any symptoms. Sexual contact with women who have bacterial vaginosis can trigger the disease. Extreme care should be taken to prevent the infection spreading.
You should get tested if you think you may have BV. Also, inform your partners once you are sure.
You can’t know if you have BV until you get tested. If you don’t, you are just speculating, which can cause more harm than good.
