Bacterial Vaginosis: 14 Causes

11. Affected Underwear Improperly Cleaned

If you’ve recently experienced bacterial vaginosis, or another similar condition like a yeast infec-tion, you are at high risk for developing it again. You may need to consult your doctor and look for other risk factors if the condition continues for months.

Underwear can be a danger if you have been using it for a long time. As a result of the discharge that is a common symptom of BV, the infection may spread to your underwear. A few washings may not be enough to remove the infection.

If you’ve had multiple infections in a row, it is best to throw away your underwear after you’ve healed. If this does not solve the problem, you can look for other factors that may be triggering it. You can also consult your doctor.
