3. Light sensitivity is another sign of meningitis
The individual may find it difficult to sit at the table with the lights on, watch TV, or look at the screen of a phone or computer. The daytime can be particularly difficult and the person may feel that it is difficult to be outdoors, even if they are wearing shades or have their eye closed.
Other medical conditions and issues, such as sinus problems, headaches and eye problems, can also cause light sensitivity. Sometimes, light sensitivity is just an occurrence and there’s no reason to be cautious. If light sensitivity is a side effect of meningitis, don’t ignore it.Even after a person has successfully treated meningitis, light sensitivity may persist. Some people have light sensitivity after meningitis. It can cause a headache or a cerebral pain. Once the meningitis has been treated, it may be possible to treat this condition independently.
