Stretching Psoas
Steps:
- Stand up straight and start standing.
- By bending your right knee, place the right leg in front and the left leg behind. Maintain a straight upper body.
- Hold this position and lower your left leg until it touches the ground.
- Bring your upper body straight forward.
- Pull the left heel upwards with the help of your left hand.
- Change legs after 30 seconds.
- Repeat this exercise two times.
What is its purpose? The psoas is primarily responsible for flexing the hips and raising the legs toward the torso. This exercise helps to stabilize the spine. They are used when you move but can be negatively affected by sitting too much. These muscles can cause back pain if they shorten or tighten. These stretches lengthen and strengthen the psoas muscle.
