Weatherproofing the walls
Breaux, like most homeowners, knew that his home needed to protect him from the elements. This meant that every surface of the containers had to be insulated in order for them to behave like normal walls. Breaux used cell spray foam on every indoor surface. This spray expanded to form a thick layer of insulation, which was strong enough to withstand even the toughest Texas winter.
Breaux added extra insulation to his ceilings so that he would not hear anyone above or below. Breaux can listen to music and watch movies without disturbing his neighbors. The ceilings are equipped with six inches of acoustic foam. Breaux seems to have thought of every detail for his container house.
