Giving His Area a Personality
Breaux is rightfully proud of the creative home he has created. He lives in Houston’s grayest neighborhoods, not a historical part. Breaux believes that his fun house injects some personality into the area, breaking up the monotony. There is nothing wrong in adding some personality to an area where every other building is a bland highrise.
Breaux’s home might be enough to make some people visit a Houston area they otherwise would not have visited. The Texas man doesn’t change the history or aesthetics of his neighborhood, but he does add some history to McGowen Street.
