Ellen DeGeneres sold her home, despite supposedly wanting to live there forever
- Value of Property: $45 million
- Year of Purchase: 2013
- Location: Santa Barbara
When Ellen DeGeneres released her book ‘Home’ in 2015, she declared her hope that she and Portia de Rossi would live in their Santa Barbara property “forever.” However, it wasn’t many years later before the talk show host listed the property for $45 million. Evidently, the place wasn’t enough to keep the pair happy any longer.
They’d originally bought the house in 2013 for $26.5 million, with the property boasting a very European feel thanks to architect Wallace Frost. The modernized space features six bedrooms and eight bathrooms across 10,500 square feet. It also offers an infinity swimming pool thanks to the couple previously extending the estate across two adjacent properties.
