George Lucas has been buying up properties in Carpinteria for years
- Value of Property: $28 million
- Year of Purchase: 2019
- Location: Carpinteria
We wonder if George Lucas knew what he was creating when he first introduced the epic space opera ‘Star Wars’ franchise to the world. Spawning tons of films, TV series, and merchandise, ‘Star Wars’ has seemingly given Lucas everything he could want in life. It’s certainly provided him with plenty of money to spend on properties across the US.
For instance, in 2010, he purchased a home in Carpinteria for $19.5 million, which he then demolished and rebuilt. Nine years later, he purchased a second estate in the area for $28 million. This acquisition reportedly came with a home, guesthouse, tree house, and a barn, all of which sit on a site of two acres.
