Mildew and mold can be a by-product of living in a humid environment. Mold may be growing in your house and you are unaware of it. Mold loves warm, humid and dark places. You kitchen, bathroom and basement are at risk of bacteria and mold because they are in constant contact with moisture. Mold can grow in just a few days if the conditions are right.
Mold can be a source of respiratory problems and allergies all year round if it is not treated. It is therefore important to eliminate mold as soon you notice it. Mold is usually easy to remove. There are many homemade ways to remove mold from your house.
1. Vinegar
Vinegar can be your best friend when it comes to cleaning agents. To make the smell more bearable, you can mix vinegar with water. For mold killing, vinegar works best when sprayed straight onto the mold using a spray bottle. Leave the vinegar on the mould for several hours.
After the vinegar has a chance to set, scrub the area using a brush that is designed for mold removal. Add some essential oils if the smell is really bothering you. Add some orange peels, or any other citrus peels, to enhance the smell. You can be sure that the smell of the cleaning solution will disappear by the time the area is scrubbed. The vinegar will kill most of the mold spores, bacteria and viruses.
