7. Red Wine or Grape Juice
The good news is here. The glass of wine that you drink in the evening can help to prevent blood clots. Red wine contains high levels of flavonoids, which prevent blood clots through the control of platelet production. Red grape juice can be helpful if you do not drink alcohol.
Even if you don’t like wine, alcohol is an effective blood thinner. It seems to reduce platelet aggregation, fibrinogen (fibrinogen clots blood) and increase fibrinolysis.
