Too much sugar can cause havoc in the body. Sugar can cause inflammation and lead to other illnesses. Sugar is added to our diet mainly in the form of high fructose syrup and table sugar. Sugar is one of the main reasons why eating too much is bad for your health. It causes the body’s cytokines to be produced. The body produces cytokines in response to inflammation.
The small amount of fructose found in fruit and vegetables is okay. These sugars are healthy and good for your body. Sugar can be harmful to your body if you add it to food or eat foods high in sugar. Sugar has been linked to insulin resistance, diabetes, obesity and chronic kidney disease as well as cancer.
