3. Meat
In general, eating meat is not unhealthy. When it comes to meat, however, not all is created equal. Certain types of meat can cause problems when it comes to changing the diet in order to reduce inflammation. Inflammation can occur when you eat meat from animals that have been fed grains. In the past, animals were mostly fed grass. Currently, livestock is mainly fed grains.
Animals that eat grains and not grass are more susceptible to illness. In order to maintain the health and growth of the animals until the time comes to butcher them the animals, they are given antibiotics. These antibiotics are then consumed by you. Meat is high in saturated fat, which is also fed to these animals along with grains and antibiotics. Saturated fats are associated with inflammation.
