12. Difficulty speaking
A less obvious symptom is the difficulty in speaking. This is also due to a loss of sensation and control in the muscles responsible for moving your mouth and voice box.
It is difficult to form letters as your facial muscles are not controlled. This can be very similar to what happens to a stroke patient . It is not uncommon to see patients with this condition displaying unusual facial positions and ticks.
