14 Uses for Baking Soda

8.To eradicate odours, place a box of baking soda in the refrigerator and freezer.

Foods left in the freezer and refrigerator emit odours, which are absorbed by baking soda. Open a box of baking soda and place it in the corner of your freezer or refrigerator for it to function. Thus, no one will inadvertently knock it over when removing items from the refrigerator or freezer.

Mark the date on the baking soda before placing it in the freezer and refrigerator, as it will need to be replaced in three months. You may need to replace it sooner as the particulates may absorb odours more rapidly.

Since baking soda is inexpensive, replacing it every three months will not cost hundreds of dollars. The price is less than one dollar. It also doesn’t matter what brand you use. It will all operate identically.
