- Absence of Symptoms
One of the most challenging aspects of trichomoniasis is that its symptoms are frequently difficult to detect. The symptoms are intermittent, so the majority of people are unaware they have it. If you notice any of the symptoms of trich, it is imperative that you get tested immediately, particularly if you are sexually active and have multiple partners, as this condition is highly contagious.
Approximately 7 out of 10 individuals with trich are unaware. Males infected with the virus will likely exhibit no symptoms. Occasionally, the disease’s symptoms are so mild that you do not observe them or mistake them for something else, such as a UTI or yeast infection. Getting examined is the only way to determine with certainty if you have trich.
