Using a simple alcohol spray or hand disinfectant containing alcohol can be one of the most effective methods to treat a ringworm infection without resorting to expensive creams, medications, or doctor visits. Cleanse the area afflicted by ringworm as thoroughly as possible, and apply hand disinfectant or alcohol spray.
Repeat the procedure several times throughout the day (and several times per week): This should be sufficient to eliminate the ringworm infection by dehydrating it and cutting off its access to resources.
If the problem persists, it’s likely that you’ve contracted ringworm from the same source multiple times, and you’ll need to eliminate the source of the infection or you’ll just wind up reinfecting yourself. Combine with some of the other techniques described in this article for optimal results.
