- Mild Shoulder Ache
Rotator cuff tendonitis is one type of tendonitis. This form of tendonitis affects the shoulder and typically causes a dull ache in the shoulder region. Oftentimes, shoulder discomfort does not originate from a specific location.
Occasionally, the discomfort may radiate from the shoulder to the chest, as well as other parts of the body. When attempting to fall asleep at night, the discomfort may be more severe. If your job or sport requires you to consistently elevate your shoulder or limbs, you may have developed tendonitis.
This condition is typically brought on by repetitive motion and misuse. Welders, painters, tennis players, baseball players, and architects are among those at risk for developing rotator cuff tendonitis. This form of tendonitis is more prevalent among males over the age of 40 who work in the occupations listed above.
