13. Mobility Concerns
A person with tendonitis can develop mobility issues. Not only do the muscle tendon units in the body provide a force to move the joints, but they also contribute to elasticity. This elasticity permits us to become more adaptable. When the tendon swells, our flexibility can be reduced. You may also discover that the changes in muscle development can lead to additional complications.
If one group of your muscles is greater than the others, it can increase the pressure on your joints, making it difficult for them to move through their normal range of motion. Twisting, squatting, tugging, and pushing are all fundamental movements that we must be capable of. If you have lost range of motion in any of these motions, you must determine the cause. Your doctor will assist you in identifying the underlying cause and initiating a treatment plan to help you regain control of these mobility issues.
