8. Fever
fever is the body’s first line of defense against illness. The body raises a fever to try and drive away any bacteria or viruses.
The body raises temperature to create an environment that is less conducive for bacteria or viruses. There is a possibility that a virus or bacteria is responsible for causing throat pain and fever. A fever above 100 degrees F is indicative of strep.
Rest and listen to your body to ensure that you heal quickly. It is also important to keep hydrated. Doctors may prescribe antibiotics to ease symptoms.
